Job Description:
As a Java Developer at Eurofins, you will play a key role in developing high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
- Implementing new applications and supporting the effective utilization of Java/Java EE applications.
- Troubleshooting issues, updating configurations, and assisting with system deployment.
- Participating in the development and maintenance of necessary supporting applications, documents, and procedures.
- Authoring and executing test protocols to ensure the quality and reliability of software components.
Skills Required:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 0-1 years of experience in Java development.
- Proven working experience in Java development, with hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
- Strong understanding of API technologies such as Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Profound insight into Java and JEE internals, including classloading, memory management, and transaction management.
- Experience with JAVA AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases, MS-SQL, and ORM technologies.
- Experience in developing web applications using popular web frameworks such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
- Hands-on experience with UI technologies and frameworks such as Angular or React is an added advantage.
- Understanding of laboratory processes and knowledge in Labvantage software is a plus.
Responsibilities:
As a Java Developer at Eurofins, you will be responsible for:
- Creating and designing software workflows, proposing new solutions to lab processes.
- Ensuring that designs follow specifications and preparing software releases.
- Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternative technologies and presenting them for architectural review.
- Developing system enhancements and documenting processes where appropriate.
- Attending to requested updates and tickets, including clarifying requirements, coding, testing, and deploying updates.
- Investigating unexpected events and escalating urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate channels.
- Performing deployments of application/product releases to production environments globally with minimum downtime.
- Managing the live system and performing system monitoring and monthly audits.
- Generating reports based on lab requirements.
