Position Overview Agniveer:
The Indian Navy invites online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates for enrolment as Agniveer (MR) for the 02/2024 batch. Agniveers will form a distinct rank, different from any other existing rank, and will be the junior most rank in the Indian Navy. Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Age: Candidates should be born between 01 Nov 2003–30 Apr 2007 (Both dates inclusive).
- Marital Status: Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment. Candidates must provide a certificate of being ‘unmarried’ at the time of enrolment.

Terms & Conditions:
- Duration of Service: Agniveers will be enrolled for a period of four years under the Navy Act 1957.
- Leave: Agniveers will be entitled to 30 days of leave per year, with additional sick leave based on medical advice.
- Pay & Allowances: Agniveers will receive a package of ₹30,000 per month with fixed yearly increments, along with various allowances.
- Seva Nidhi: Agniveers will receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contributions by the Government upon completion of the engagement period.
- Life Insurance & Compensation: Agniveers will be provided with non-contributory life insurance cover and compensation for death or disability attributable to service.
- Enrolment as Sailors (Regular Cadre): After four years of service, Agniveers may apply for permanent enrolment in the Indian Navy based on organizational requirements and performance criteria.

Selection Process Agniveer:
The selection process will include two stages:
- Stage I: Shortlisting based on the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET).
- Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Examination, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
