About the Role:

Morningstar, a global leader in independent investment research, is seeking a Quantitative Research Intern to join their team in Navi Mumbai. As an Intern, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support statistical software applications and data products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain systems supporting various quantitative research projects.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to fulfill data requirements for research projects and applications.
  • Automate workflows using Python packages such as Pandas, numpy, Matplotlib, etc.
  • Analyze and optimize database performance.
  • Ensure the quality of technical and application architecture across the organization.
  • Research and benchmark technology to enhance their systems.

Requirements:

  • 0-1 year of experience in designing and managing large-scale database systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (3.6 and above).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Working knowledge of AWS Data Engineering tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile software engineering practices.
