Position Overview of Agniveer SSR:

Eligibility Criteria: for Agniveer SSR 

• Unmarried male and unmarried female candidates eligible.
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Qualified in 10+2 with Mathematics & Physics from Boards of School Education recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt of India, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. OR
  • Passed Three years diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate. OR
  • Passed Two years Vocational Course with Non-vocational subject viz, Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate.
• Age: Born between 01 Nov 2003–30 Apr 2007.
• Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates eligible.

Terms & Conditions: Agniveer SSR 

• Duration of Service: Four years.
• Leave: 30 days per year, with additional sick leave based on medical advice.
• Pay: ₹30,000 per month with yearly increment. Risk and hardship, dress, and travel allowances provided.
• Seva Nidhi: One-time package ranging from ₹21,000 to ₹28,000 per month with contributions to Agniveer Corpus Fund.
• Life Insurance Cover: ₹48 lakh.
• Death Compensation: ₹44 lakh.
• Disability Compensation: ₹44/25/15 lakh based on % of disability.

Selection Process:

• Stage I – INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test) for shortlisting.
• Stage II – PFT, Written Examination, and Recruitment Medical Examination.

Physical Standards (PFT):

• 1.6 Km run, Squats, Pushups, Bent Knee Situps.

Recruitment Medical Examination:

• Candidates qualifying PFT undergo Medical Examination. Appeal can be made within 5 days at designated military hospital.

Merit List:

• Prepared based on performance in Stage-II written exam, PFT, and Recruitment Medical Examination.

Medical Standards:

• Medical examination conducted by authorized military doctors.
• Candidates with predominant characteristics of the opposite gender or who have undergone gender reassignment surgery will be rejected.
• Pregnant female candidates disqualified. Candidates should not conceive during the training or engagement period.
• Minimum height standards for male and female: 157 cms.
• Tattoos permitted only on inner face of forearms and reversed side of hand. Tattoos on any other part of the body not acceptable.
• Candidates must be in good physical and mental health, free from any disease/disability likely to interfere with duties.

Visual Standards:

• Uncorrected Vision: 6/12, 6/12
• Corrected Vision: 6/6, 6/6
• Colour Perception: II

Training:

• Tentative commencement in Nov 2024 at INS Chilka, Odisha.

Discharge as Unsuitable:

• Agniveers liable to be discharged as “UNSUITABLE” due to unsatisfactory performance during training or service tenure.

Application fee of ₹550/- (plus 18% GST) applicable. Fee once paid not refundable. Multiple registrations lead to rejection.
