Overview:
As a Software Engineer collaborating with the Microsoft Azure Storage team, you’ll join a dynamic group dedicated to constructing and refining highly scalable services for customers worldwide. Your contributions, from conceptualizing new features to dissecting performance metrics, will play a pivotal role in shaping the evolution of data storage
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing new features and enhancements for Azure Storage services.
- Developing features for the storage performance measurement and analysis platform.
- Debugging and troubleshooting complex issues across multiple software components.
- Analyzing large-scale performance measurement data to identify bottlenecks.
- Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Documenting and communicating the design and architecture of the software.
- Acting as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for system issues and guiding other engineers.
- Staying ahead of trends and adapting to new technologies to enhance product performance.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience.
- Other:
- Completion of a Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required for this position, to be conducted upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- OR related technical field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with any NoSQL database, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and data structures.
- Knowledge of systems programming, operating systems, distributed systems, databases, cloud services, including high-performance distributed storage and networking.
