Job Summary: As an Engineer in Kernel and Drivers for Linux, you’ll be the key player applying your broad technical knowledge to identify and modify existing systems. This operationally oriented role involves day-to-day defined tasks under the close supervision of a Team Lead/Project Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and provide technical support in the assigned area.
- Ensure on-time delivery while adhering to quality and productivity goals.
- Adhere to guidelines, checklists, and organizational processes for deliverable reviews.
- Continuously enhance technical capabilities through training, self-study, and periodic technical assessments.
Education and Experience Required:
- Engineering graduate, MCA, etc.
- Experience: 0-2 years
Competencies – KERNEL AND DRIVERS:
- Experience in Embedded Linux design, development/customization, and bug fixing/sustenance.
- Familiarity with Linux Kernel configuration, board bring-up, device tree, and porting/adapting device drivers.
- Additional Android specialization: Android patches/configuration and Android architecture.
Platforms:
- Mandatory experience with Embedded Linux; ARM Embedded Linux; x86/Intel Atom.
Tools:
- Mandatory experience with Lauterbach, Build system-Makefile, Gerrit, Git.
Languages:
- Mandatory experience with C.
Specialization:
- POWER MANAGEMENT, PERIPHERALS, MEDIA, DISPLAY, CONNECTIVITY, DATA PROTOCOL, SECURITY, PERFORMANCE, ANDROID, CARRIER GRADE PLATFORM.
