Eligibility Criteria FOR UPSC CMS:

  • Candidates must carefully read the rules and eligibility conditions notified by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the UPSC.
  • Admission at all stages of the examination is provisional, subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions
  • Candidates should ensure they fulfill all eligibility criteria before applying.

Application Process UPSC CMS:

  • Candidates are required to apply online through the UPSC Online Application Portal (upsconline.nic.in).
  • Registration at the One Time Registration (OTR) platform is mandatory before filling the online application.
  • Modification in the OTR profile is allowed only once in a lifetime, with a deadline of 7 days from the next day after the closure of the application window.
  • The application window for making corrections in the application form will be open from 1st May to 7th May, 2024.
  • Candidates should possess a valid Photo ID Card (Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence) for filling the online application.

Age Limit:

  1. General Candidates:
    • Maximum Age: 32 years as of August 1, 2024.
    • Date of Birth Range: On or after August 2, 1992.
  2. Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Services:
    • Maximum Age: 35 years as of August 1, 2024.

Age Relaxation Criteria:

  • Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes: Up to 5 years.
  • Other Backward Classes (eligible for reservation): Up to 3 years.
  • Defence Services Personnel Disabled in Operations: Up to 3 years.
  • Ex-servicemen: Up to 5 years (additional conditions apply).
  • Candidates with Specific Disabilities: Up to 10 years (as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016).

Examination Details UPSC CMS:

  • The examination will be conducted in two parts: Written Examination and Personality Test.
  • The written examination will consist of two papers, each carrying a maximum of 250 marks.
  • The personality test will carry 100 marks and will be conducted for candidates who qualify in the written examination.
  • There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers in the objective type question papers.

Centers of Examination: The examination will be held at various centers across India. Candidates can choose their preferred examination centre during the application process.
