What You Will Do as Analyst II – SIEM/SecOps

• Monitoring and Escalation Handling: Monitor alerts during high-volume periods, handle L1 escalations, perform deep log correlations across AWS and Kubernetes, and write OpenSearch queries to build incident timelines.
• Threat Analysis and Detection Support: Conduct threat hunting based on IOCs and IOAs, support detection engineering use cases, and tune correlation rules based on observed false positives.
• Playbook and Knowledge Management: Develop and refine investigation steps, and update standard operating procedures and runbooks for L1 analysts.
• L1 Oversight and Mentoring: Mentor L1 analysts on alert handling, review quality of alert closures, and own shift handovers.
• Compliance Support: Assist with compliance and audit requests requiring deeper technical evidence and investigation summaries.

Skills Required:

SIEM and Query Languages. Direct experience querying raw log data using OpenSearch Query DSL, Lucene, KQL, or SPL without a GUI.

Infrastructure and Cloud Security. Practical knowledge of AWS services, Azure logs, Kubernetes containers, and Cloudflare edge security.

Operating Systems and Scripting. Solid Linux host investigation skills along with Python or Bash scripting capabilities for automation.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on SOC experience with 1–2 years as an L2 analyst
• Bachelor of Technology (BE/B.Tech) or M.Tech/ME in Computer Science or equivalent
