What You Will Do as Platform Hardware Design Engineer
- Circuit Specification: Translate platform-level requirements into circuit and component-level specifications.
- PCB Design: Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, PCBs, and integrated circuitry for hardware platforms.
- Layout Management: Manage board layout activities from feasibility studies to tape out while meeting multidisciplinary platform requirements.
- Cost and Availability: Assess BOM cost and availability data, balancing design trade-offs at the board and system levels.
- Power-on and Debug: Collaborate with architects, design engineers, verification engineers, and technicians to lead platform hardware power-on and debug activities.
Skills Required:
Design Tools. Proficiency in electrical schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Cadence Concept HDL.
Hardware Engineering. Experience in high-speed board design, LPDDR5, TBT, and integrated circuitry development.
Analysis and Management. Ability to handle BOM cost analysis, optimization, and vendor or ODM interactions.
