What You Will Do as Cost Engineering & Benchmarking – MAE
- Target Cost Models: Develop and maintain target cost models for manufacturing equipment, automation systems, assembly and testing equipment, and fixtures.
- Cost Benchmarking: Analyze technical MAE concepts, specifications, layouts, drawings, and supplier quotations to identify key cost drivers.
- Process Evaluation: Evaluate manufacturing processes, equipment concepts, and technical specifications from a cost and value engineering perspective.
- Product Cost Estimation: Conduct competitor product studies and component cost estimations including sales price, design to cost, and negotiation calculations.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills. Knowledge of core manufacturing processes, tool design, GD&T, and drawing reading capabilities.
Tools and Software. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, presentations, and general AI or digitalization tools.
Basic Qualifications:
